Effective cleaning of production tooling is essential in the food industry, where removing organic residues and maintaining high hygiene standards are critical.
Turbowash recently designed and supplied a bespoke three-stage ultrasonic cleaning system specifically for a food industry application. The system was developed to remove dough, protein residues and scale from production cutters, while providing a controlled cleaning process designed to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
The system incorporates three 300-litre tanks, providing dedicated stages for cleaning and rinsing:
- Ultrasonic Cleaning Tank – Uses ultrasonic cavitation to penetrate difficult-to-reach areas and remove embedded contamination.
- Cold Rinse Tank – Removes loosened residues and cleaning solution before the final rinse.
- High-Pressure Rinse Tank – Provides an effective final rinse to remove remaining contaminants.
This multistage approach provides a more consistent and controlled cleaning process while reducing manual intervention, cleaning time and production downtime.
With 900 litres of total capacity, the system provides a practical, purpose-built solution designed around the specific requirements of food production.
